Friends of Rookery Bay has issued a call to artists for a new T-shirt design celebrating the local coastal environment that will be sold in its nature store at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center and its new online store.
The focus of the designs must be based on the 110,000-acre Rookery Bay Research Reserve, which stretches from Keewaydin Island through the Western Everglades and encompasses 40 percent of Collier County’s coastline. Images of animals and plants that rely on the reserve or people enjoying nature are encouraged.
Contest rules and the entry form are available at rookerybay.org/nature-store.
The deadline for emailed pdf or vector submissions to friends@rookerybay.org is midnight on Friday, May 15.
Friends of Rookery Bay’s ongoing mission is to help connect people with southwest Florida’s dynamic coastal environment in support of Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. The Friends provide vital monetary and in-kind support for Reserve programs and operations and serve an advocate for preservation and coastal protection.
