Art in the Park, the inaugural outdoor art event for the Naples Art 2020-2021 season, was held Saturday, Nov, 4 at Baker Park, with exhibiting artists and art loving attendees enjoying a great time in a beautiful location.

Art in the Park also marked the first outdoor event ever to be held at recently opened Baker Park in Naples. Ample space ensured that pandemic precautions could be followed; and masked, socially distanced participants enjoyed the chance to view and purchase work by 24 local artisans in a variety of media including painting, ceramics, jewelry, photography, fiber, and more.

Naples Art Board members and staff enjoyed meeting many new people who attended the season’s first Art in the Park. It was truly a ‘family friendly’ event where visitors’ children could enjoy the playground, and their dogs could run free in the dog park. Participating artists were thrilled to be there, sharing with Naples Art afterward how much they loved the location, appreciated the opportunity and most importantly, made some sales!

Naples Art’s art enthusiast mascot “Art” dressed in his signature painting apron, was on hand for a live appearance, posing with attendees and artists, greeting everyone as part of the festivities. Guests were thrilled to meet this colorful, dynamic Naples Art ambassador.

The next Art in the Park will be Saturday, Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cambier Park. Art in the Park takes place on the first Saturday from November through April.

Carrying on the tradition of showcasing the wonderfully creative fine art and crafts of our community’s artists, Naples Art proudly connects artists with art enthusiasts to kick off yet another exciting season of Art in the Park. Art in the Park is believed to be the first outdoor art show held in Naples.
