Stardust Memories Big Band 10th season

The Stardust Memories Big Band (SMBB) returns for its 10th anniversary season performing outdoor, evening concerts in Cambier Park in Naples and Riverside Park in Bonita Springs.
The band plays the music of the legendary American big bands including Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie, Artie Shaw, Woody Herman, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, Doc Severinsen and The Tonight Show Band, and many more.
The 2024 outdoor series consists of six different theme-based shows, each of which is performed at Cambier Park (Monday nights) and at Riverside Park (Tuesday nights) with a total of 12 performances.

“Famous Arrangers” – Feb. 19 and 20
“The Great American Songbook” – March 11 and 12

“Mel Torme and Rosemary Clooney” – March 25 and 26
Featuring David and Michele Pruyn
“ Audience Request Show” – April 8 and 9

All shows are from 7 to 9 p.m. A $5 per person suggested contribution is requested at each show.
The SMBB is the vision of founder and band leader Craig Christman, and brings together some of Florida’s finest jazz professionals (Naples, For Myers, Tampa, Sarasota, Orlando, Miami). These working professionals have a collective resume that includes The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, The Woody Herman Band, The Jay Leno Tonight Show Band, Tower of Power, The Count Basie Orchestra, The Airmen of Note, The Buddy Rich Orchestra, Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band, Wayne Cochran and the C.C. Riders, Chicago, The Naples Jazz Orchestra, and performances with artists including Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Doc Severinsen, Quincy Jones, Johnny Mathis, Rod Stewart, Nathalie Cole, Steve and Eydie Gorme, Nat King Cole, Lady Gaga, Ann Hampton Callaway, Tom Jones, Lou Rawls, Barry Manilow, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Byron Stripling, Carmen Bradford, and numerous orchestras and Broadway shows.
The band’s primary mission is to provide the highest quality big band entertainment available to audiences in SW Florida.

The SMBB is organized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, and for 2024 the band will continue its important mission objective of providing direct financial support to Music for Minors Foundation, and The Music Foundation of SW Florida. These two local area non-profit organizations provide instruments, summer training camps, and scholarships to young, aspiring musicians from our local schools.
