Stardust Memories Big Band starts new season with Bonita, Naples shows

The Stardust Memories Big Band has returned for its eighth season, performing outdoor, evening concerts in Cambier Park in Naples and Riverside Park in Bonita Springs.
The band plays the music of the legendary American big bands including Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie, Artie Shaw, Woody Herman, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, Doc Severinsen, and many more.
The 2022 outdoor series consists of five different theme-based shows, each of which is performed at Cambier Park (Monday nights), and at Riverside Park (Tuesday nights).
A total of ten performances are planned:
“Big Band Classics” will be performed Jan. 24 & 25
“Sinatra” – featuring Walt Andrus is the program for Feb. 7 and 15
“Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey” will be featured on Feb. 21 and 22
“The Andrew Sisters and Glenn Miller” will be performed March 21 and 22
“The Gene Krupa Story” featuring Arthor von Blomberg is the program for April 4 and 5

All shows are from 7 to 9 pm, and each show will be advertised in the Naples Daily News In the 239, and in The Bonita Banner.
A $5 per person contribution is requested at each performance.
The SMBB is the vision of founder and band leader Craig Christman and brings together some of Florida’s finest jazz musicians (Naples, Fort Myers, Tampa, Sarasota, Orlando, Miami).
The band’s primary mission is to provide the highest quality big band entertainment available to audiences in Southwest Florida.
