SW Florida theatre season roundup for 2023-24

It’s time again for our annual theatre season preview issue of the magazine. In the 2023-24 season, there are nearly 120 different productions at 19 different venues in Southwest Florida. We have already started another wonderful season of theatre and we have so many choices … again. Without any further chatter, let’s see what is on stage this season.
TheatreZone in Naples has Home for the Holidays, Bonnie and Clyde: the musical, Million Dollar Quartet, Little Me and Carrie: the musical.
FGCU Theatre presents Heathers the musical (in conjunction with TheatreZone), Silent Sky and The Life of Galileo.
In Cape Coral, The Belle Theatre gives us Let’s Go to the Movies, Disenchanted, Drinking Habits, Christmas in Paradise: World Tour, Funny Girl, Unnecessary Farce, We Will Rock You and Second Chances: The Thrift Shop Musical.
Florida Repertory Theatre presents Beguiled Again, The Legend of Georgia McBride, A Sherlock Carol, The Mountaintop, Beehive: the 70s musical, The Gin Game, A Comedy of Tenors, Hank Williams: Lost Highway and Oleanna.
Laboratory Theater of Florida has POTUS, Noises Off, Misery, the 24-Hour Playwriting Project, Yippee Ki-Yay Merry Christmas, Stew, Ride the Cyclone and Crocodile Fever.
Artis–Naples Broadway series includes Funny Girl, Company, Tina, Six the musical and To Kill a Mockingbird.
Arts Bonita presents A Cracker at The Ritz, A Home…for the Holidays, A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play, Buyer and Cellar, Assisted Living the musical and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
On Marco Island, the Arts Center Theatre will stage The Music Man, The 39 Steps, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), White Christmas, Private Lives, The Queen of Bingo and Vanities.
Broadway Palm in Fort Myers presents Murder on the Orient Express, Hairspray, Elf, Elvis: A musical Revolution, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, The Addams Family, Swing and Mary Poppins.
The Naples Players (most of it on the road during construction) offer us The Dining Room, Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley, Harvey, Laugh, Cry, Pee, Repeat, The Producers and The Play That Goes Wrong.
The Charlotte Players will stage Wild Women of Winedale, Murder at The Howard Johnson’s, The Foreigner, Rumors, Calendar Girls, Nunsense 2: The Second Coming, Two on the Aisle Three in a Van and Morning After Grace.
In Cape Coral, Cultural Park Theater presents Boeing Boeing, Footloose, Fame, James & the Giant Peach, Bye Bye Birdie, Sister Act, Into the Woods and Murder on the Orient Express.
Gulfshore Playhouse in Naples offers us its New Works Festival, 26 Miles, Winter Wonderettes, The Refugees, Into the Breeches and She Loves Me.
The Off Broadway Palm schedule includes Popcorn Falls, A Doublewide, Texas Christmas, Run for Your Wife, Sweet Delilah Swim Club and Perfect Wedding.
In Naples, The Studio Players present The Cemetery Club, Superior Donuts, The Lifespan of a Fact, Bus Stop and Doubt.
Players Circle Theater in Fort Myers (in their new home) will present Breaking Legs, Ho! Ho! Ho! The Christmas Show, Butterflies are Free, Proof, Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks and Godspell.
Theatre Conspiracy at the Alliance for the Arts has Sanctuary City, Radio Golf, Clown Bar, Which Way to the Stage and The Women Who Mapped Stars.
The Barbara B. Mann Performing Arst Hall Broadway series includes Hadestown, Jagged Little Pill, To Kill a Mockingbird, Tina, Mrs. Doubtfire and Hamilton.
Gulf Coast Symphony will present Snowbird Follies, A Grand Night for Singing, Nunsense 2: The Second Coming and Route 66.
