Adult and student singers from the community are invited to “join the chorus” for its 8th Annual Sing Out! SWFL Choral Festival on Friday and Saturday, Feb 21 and 22.
Sing Out! is a popular community engagement event, which attracts both locals, national tourists, and even a few international visitors each year.
Called Sing Out! FUSION, the 2020 festival will be led by award-winning contemporary classical composer Timothy Takach. He will serve as workshop clinician and conductor of the festival chorus concert on Saturday night, made up of Chorale members and volunteer singers from the community. His wife, Jocelyn Hagen, who is also a successful composer, will perform with Tim during the first half of the festival concert followed by the festival chorus performance. For the first time this event will be held in Cape Coral at Faith Presbyterian Church, 4544 Coronado Parkway, as part of their Faith Concert Series.

“We are excited to have Tim Takach as our Sing Out! clinician and conductor this year,” said Dr.Trent Brown, artistic director of The Symphonic Chorale. “Tim and his wife, Jocelyn, who will perform during the concert, are amazingly talented and gifted musicians and we are honored to have them at our festival. We are also grateful to Faith Presbyterian Church for hosting Sing Out! to expand the Festival’s reach this year into the Cape Coral community,” Dr. Brown said.
