The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) has announced the 14 restaurants participating in the 38th Taste of the Islands, to be held Sunday, Nov. 10 in Sanibel Community Park from noon to 5 p.m.
“I’m thrilled to say we have an amazing lineup of restaurants this year” says Alison Charney Hussey, executive director for CROW. “This is a great opportunity for the community to come together to sample some fantastic food prepared by wonderful chefs, enjoy live music and have a great time with their friends and family. Supporting CROW is an added benefit to a fun-filled Sunday afternoon!”
The restaurants will offer a mouth-watering array of menu items for six CROW bucks or less while competing for honors in a variety of categories including “Best Appetizer,” “Best Seafood” and “Taste of the Taste.” Attendees of the Taste cast ballots to decide the winner of the coveted “People’s Choice” award.
Taste of the Islands restaurants are The Bubble Room, The Clam Shack, Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille, The Jac Island Bar & Grille, Matzaluna Italian Restaurant, MudBugs Cajun Kitchen, Rosie’s Café & Grill, Sandollar Restaurant, Sanibel Deli & Coffee Factory, Sanibel Fish House, Shima Japanese Steak House, T2, Thistle Lodge and Timbers Restaurant & Fish Market
This year’s family friendly event also features live entertainment by Private Stock Band, and in the Sanibel Community House guests will meet CROW’s Animal Ambassadors and can bid on Silent Auction items.
Bank of the Islands/Edison National Bank has returned as the presenting sponsor. This is the eighth year in row that the bank has led the sponsorship for CROW’s signature fundraiser.
