Things are heating up around The Belle as we prepare for an exciting third season ahead.
But first, RENT takes the stage Aug. 2 – 11 with an all-star cast of Southwest Florida performers including Bradyn Parmelly as Mark, Ryan Craig as Roger, Joey Bostic in the role of Tom Collins, Roman Mina as Benny, Cassie Sampson as Joanne, Cat Turner as Maureen, and Rebecca Lucero as Mimi, all supported by a fantastic ensemble.
The story, loosely based on Puccini’s opera La Boheme, takes place in the early 1990s in New York City following a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and Pulitzer Prize for Drama, RENT is a groundbreaking musical under the direction of Tyler Young with musical direction by Danielle Enderby and choreography by Emily Garcia, you won’t want to miss!
RENT performs select matinees on Saturday and Sundays at 2 p.m. and evening performances Friday through Sunday. And just for RENT, join us for our late night opening performance at 9 p.m. and dress in your best ‘90s grunge.
Beginning in September, we officially kick off our “Thrilling Third Season” with the opening of Encore: A Broadway Revue on stage Sept. 6 – 15,, followed by Neil Simon’s Last of The Red Hot Lovers, a hilarious Neil Simon farce that will have you laughing from start to finish. Taking the stage Oct. 4 – 13, Saturday Night Fever takes us back to the ‘70s where disco and dancing were a way of life.
Up next comes a Tale As Old As Time with Disney’s Beauty and the Beast onstage Oct. 18 – Nov. 3, a perfect musical for the entire family!
Our third season continues with A Charlie Brown Christmas (Dec. 18 – 22), The DaVinci Code (Jan. 3 – 19), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Feb. 28 – March 16), and Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps (March 28 – April 13). If that’s not enough excitement, there are two additional shows coming to our third season…so stay tuned!
