Julie Griffin and Tracy Owen Cullimore (Artsy Tracy) invite you to visit their working studio/gallery in Fort Myers. Their plans for a Grand opening were on the calendar for that fated day in September 2022 when an unwelcome guest, Hurricane Ian, blew in and changed the Fort Myers area forever.
Julie and Tracy were co-members at the charming Sanibel Co-Op Gallery, Hirdie Girdie, and their new space was expected to be a messy escape for creating their art. But Ian’ s untimely arrival forced the temporary closure of Hirdie Girdie for the year and the purpose had to evolve.
Enter The heART Studio – Gallery in Fort Myers. Their first guest artist experience will be in May with a co-member from Hirdie Girdie. A reception is set for Friday, May 12 from 4 – 8 p.m. for guest artist Martha Dodd. Other members will be invited to showcase work as well.

Julie and Tracy are offering classes, participative receptions and open houses. They have plans in the works for painting demonstrations, workshops and “Art Talks.”
Julie Griffin began her artistic journey as a graphic artist with a degree from FSU. She stumbled into teaching art in public schools as well as private after school lessons while raising her children and this reignited her interest in the fine arts. She excelled in the Academic Painting Technique and was granted permission to copy two paintings in the Louvre in Paris and one in the National Gallery in D.C.. She is currently concentrating on using vibrant colors and light to depict her favorite subjects of beach life , boating and horses. Julie’s love of art and nature encourages her ultimate goal-just creating beautiful art.
