Unable to produce live theatre during the pandemic, the Players Circle Theatre in North Fort Myers has temporarily converted their intimate space into a nightclub.

The local venue at the Shell Factory features live music by local and national talent as well as Broadway tribute shows and comedians.

Danny Sinoff

Each week, singer and piano player Danny Sinoff will feature a specific theme from music of the past — such as Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and Cole Porter songs.  Performances on Thursdays are at 7 p.m. and tickets are $15 and $25.

After two sold out shows in March, Grammy nominee Billy Dean will return for at least four more shows in the coming months. Billy Dean and Friends are scheduled for April 30, May 14 and June 4 and 5.

Stand-up comedian R.C. Smith also returns for two nights on April 9 and 10. He was known as one of the best “TV warm-up guys” in the business for almost 20 years.

A new show, “Broadway and Beyond,” brings back Natalie Brouwer and maestro Brian Gurl.  Brouwer performed in “Broadway Babes” and “Love on the Rocks” in March at the Players Circle Theater. Joining her will be Matt Michael and Liz Aiello. Performances are scheduled for April 17 – 18 and April 23 – 25.

The Players Circle Theatre is located at the Shell Factory and Nature Park, 16554 No. Cleveland Ave., North Fort Myers. The 200-seat Players Circle Theatre has been converted into a nightclub/cabaret style facility, which will have 74 limited, spaced seating, temperature checks, thorough sanitizing, and masks are worn by all audience members until seated.  In compliance with all CDC guidelines.

A special food and drink menu is available for nightclub patrons, serving delicious, shareable plates and drinks in the theatre 45 minutes before performances and during shows. The Players Circle Theatre was developed by veterans of the Southwest Florida theatre movement, Carrie Lund Cacioppo and Robert Cacioppo. Plans are to present theatrical productions this fall.
