In March, The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife will be on stage at New Phoenix Theatre in Fort Myers.
Directed by Tony Saracino, it will be presented March 10 – 27. Marjorie Taub, a middle-aged Upper West Side Doctor’s wife, is devoted to mornings at the Whitney, afternoons at the MOMA and evenings at BAM. Plunged into a mid-life crisis of Medea-like proportions, she’s shaken out of her lethargy by the reappearance of a fascinating and mysterious childhood friend.
Performances of The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife will be Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm. and Sundays at 3 p.m.
Head Over Heels will be playing April 7 through May 1. The production will be directed by Scott Carpenter, with musical direction of Julie Carver, choreography by Robin Dawn Academy and costumes by Lois Kuehne.
This laugh-out-loud love story is set to the music of the iconic 1980s all-female rock band The Go-Go’s and features a book by Jeff Whitty and adaptation by James Magruder.
Head Over Heels is the bold new musical comedy from the visionaries that rocked Broadway with Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Avenue Q and Spring Awakening.
A hilarious, exuberant celebration of love, Head Over Heels follows the escapades of a royal family on an outrageous journey to save their beloved kingdom from extinction—only to discover the key to their realm’s survival lies within each of their own hearts. A story of love and acceptance set to the hit songs, “We Got the Beat,” “Our Lips Are Sealed,” “Vacation,” Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven is a Place on Earth” and “Mad About You.”
