Theatre Conspiracy at the Alliance for the Arts presents the playful and profound comedy Which Way to the Stage? directed by youth theatre director Carmen Crussard. Performances are Jan. 18 – 20, 25 – 27 and Feb. 1 – 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Jan. 28 at 2 p.m.
Which Way to the Stage? tells the story of Broadway superfans Jeff and Judy, who eagerly await their idol Idina Menzel after her performance in If/Then at the stage door every night. But when a sexy stranger enters the scene and upends their decades-long friendship, the musical theater aficionados have to go off-book to rewrite their own finale.
“I am so excited to be directing this play by Ana Noguiera,” says director Carmen Crussard. “When I first read the script, I thought someone surely stood near me in a stage door line and recorded all my conversations with my best friends and turned them into a play. The dialogue is witty and fresh and relatable and sure to be a hit for all audiences, especially theater lovers!”
Which Way to the Stage? stars Cassie Sampson as Judy, TJ Albertson as Jeff, Steven Michael Kennedy as Mark and Tatiana Rodriguez in multiple roles.
