Tom Jones musical on stage at new Music & Arts Community Center

Gulf Coast Symphony’s new Music & Arts Community Center (MACC) announces the inaugural performance of I Do! I Do! Jan. 20 – 30.
The Tony nominated musical I Do! I Do! is a touching story of two soul mates navigating the ups and downs of 50 years of married life, set to a tuneful, charming score by Tom Jones (The Fantasticks). This intimate and nostalgic work has charmed audiences worldwide since its 1966 Broadway debut.
I Do! I Do! kicks off a robust season of live concerts, performances and classes being offered at the Music & Arts Community Center in Fort Myers. Other upcoming performances include Reiko & Friends on Jan. 24, Under the Stars: Broadway with a Twist Feb. 2 – 4, and the inaugural performance of the new Gulf Coast Chamber Orchestra on Feb. 12. Later in the spring, look for jazz concerts, Elixir of Love (opera), Songs for a New World and other concerts.

The cast includes Alexandra Shepherd and Adam Morino.

Originally from Williamsburg, VA, Alexandra lives in New York City and has performed at theme parks and on stages all over the East Coast. Favorite credits include Assassins (Squeaky Fromme), Les Misérables (Eponine), [title of show](Heidi), 25th annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Logainne), Seussical (Mayzie LaBird) and Hairspray (Tammy).

Adam has traveled and performed in various theatrical productions, theme park shows, on cruise ships and in concerts. He is the current tenor for the 1950s rock ‘n’ roll group The Diamonds. Adam’s favorite credits include Tarzan (Terk), Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story (Ritchie Valens), and Carrie: The Musical (Billy Nolan).
The MACC is also home to a suite of new educational programs. In-person and virtual classes include acrylics, film, nature photography, watercolors and more—perfect for any age and any skill level.
