Gold Entertainment has announced a series of concerts and special performances coming to the Charlotte Performing Arts Center in Punta Gorda.
“We are thrilled to be able to bring these top national touring shows to this amazing theater located right in the center of Punta Gorda. It’s only a few blocks from downtown and adjacent to Charlotte High School” says Jay Goldberg, president of Gold Entertainment. “Add to it comfortable indoor theatre seating and plenty of free parking, and you have a wonderful place to attend these specially selected performances we are bringing to Punta Gorda and SW Florida.”
Brian Hoffman’s Remembering Red – A Tribute to Red Skelton will be presented Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. The only authorized impersonator by the Red Skelton Estate, Brian Hoffman, is bringing his incredible Tribute to Red Skelton to The Charlotte Performing Arts Center. The award winning nostalgic trip down memory lane has Brian Hoffman recreating several characters including Freddie the Freeloader and Clem Kadiddlehopper, just to name a few. Mr. Hoffman’s meticulous study of Red Skelton proudly shows through as he performs the one man skits and precise pantomimes. Add a little splash of “Guzzlers Gin” along with Gertrude and Heathcliff, the two seagulls and you have a show sure to please audiences of all ages. The heartfelt endearing ending will have you laughing and crying at the same time. For “Baby Boomers” this show is a must see. Tickets are $39.

Peter Fogel’s Til Death Do Us Part … You First will be presented Feb. 14. Eternal Bachelor Peter Fogel has major commitment issues as the love of his life has just broken up with him on Valentine’s Day. He senses his own mortality and after much soul searching he decides to revisit the scene of all his romantic disasters. Our hapless Lothario mixes his signature wit along with riotous relatable characters and takes us on a whirlwind comedic journey of searching for his soul mate and the meaning of a real commitment. Tickets are $39.

Ted Vigil
Ted Vigil’s Remembering John Denver will come to CPAC Feb. 23. Ted Vigil is a singer, songwriter and a tribute artist. He was born in Seattle and raised in the Olympia area. He has been performing from the age of ten throughout school in concert, symphonic and jazz bands developing his talents as a drummer and singer. Last year, Ted was awarded the Rising Legend Award by the National Traditional Country Music Association. Ted also performed with Steve Wiesberg, John Denver’s lead guitar player from the ‘70s. Tickets are $39.
