Tribby Arts Center starts year with concerts in three genres

Tribby Arts Center at Shell Point is kicking off the new year with a trio of concerts for lovers of jazz, classical and folk music.

John Pizzarelli – Jan. 5

The John Pizzarelli Trio will perform on Thursday, Jan. 5 in Connie Brown Hall at the Tribby Arts Center. Pizzarelli, joined by Mike Karn on double bass and Konrad Paszkudzki on piano, play the best songs of the last 50 years from timeless artists such as James Taylor, Stevie Wonder, Queen and more, delivered in a singular style that entertains and informs. Tickets are available for $55.

Merz Trio – Jan. 23

The Merz Trio will perform on Monday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. in Connie Brown Hall. Their narrative programming style juxtaposes classical standards, new music, and their own arrangements of familiar and forgotten works. Tickets are available for $50.

The Kingston Trio – Jan. 10

The Kingston Trio plays two shows in Connie Brown Hall on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. This popular folk and pop music group helped launch the folk revival of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Tickets are available for $55.
