ZimSculpt is on display throughout the Peace River Botanical and Sculpture Gardens now through April 18.
Abutting the Peace River, this 30-acre waterfront oasis encompasses the diversity of five ecosystems including marshlands, wetlands, mangroves, uplands, a tidal basin and an island amphitheater. Flowering trees and plants bloom throughout the year, and more than 15,000 sq. ft. of boardwalks and docks provide optimum viewing of the garden’s massive sculptures.
ZimSculpt has placed over 100 major stone sculptures throughout the gardens and have our ever-popular market place open for stunning smaller works. All work throughout the garden will be for sale. Two sculptors joining ZimSculpt in 2022 are Passmore Mupiniko and Brighton Layson. Passmore and Brighton will be demonstrating daily their amazing skills in stone and enlightening all in Zimbabwean culture.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and admission is $18. Peace River Botanical and Sculpture Gardens are located at 5827 Riverside Drive, Punta Gorda. For more details, call 941-621-8299 or visit www.peacerivergardens.org
